There is no doubt that government should spend on health and education, but the money spent on space research is also justified.
Space research has many benefits.
First of all, we have the satellite TV, which is a result of space research
The smoke alarm, which is there in every household in the west, is also because of space research.
The non-stick pan, light weight sports shoes, pace maker of heart, mobile operation theatres and many more such examples are spin-offs of space research.
The artificial limbs of lesser weight are also the result of space research
So, we can see that SR is not just dealing with the stars and planets, it also helps the life of common man.
Who knows, tomorrow, we may need to live on other planets.
Who knows, tomorrow, we may have holidays on the moon.
Who knows, tomorrow, the Earth may be unfit to live.
Who knows, how much benefit, this space research is going to have for our children?
So, you see ma’am, I feel space research needs as much efforts as any other human need does.
