· I have bought many things in my life, but here I would like to talk about an expensive thing that I bought recently.
· It is a pearl necklace.
· I saw it in the Archie’s store in Phagwara.
· I went there to buy some stationery material.
· I saw this pearl necklace and liked it very much.
· It had pink pearls which had a beautiful shine.
· The clasp was in silver.
· All the pearls were not exactly similar.
· That made it look like real pearls.
· I could imagine myself wearing the necklace.
· It was for 2000/- Rupees.
· I had saved 1500/ from my pocket money.
· I couldn’t buy it then.
· I felt very sad.
· But, I had that necklace in my mind all the time.
· Fortunately, my brother gave me 500 Rupees on Rakhi which was on 13th August.
· Now I had enough money to buy the necklace.
· It was a Saturday.
· The markets are closed on Sundays.
· So I went to the Archie’s store on Monday and bought the necklace.
· I was so happy to see that the store had put all its jewellery for sale at 20% discount because of Independence Day.
· I got the necklace for 1600.
· I bought matching ear studs for the remaining 400/
· That was the happiest day of my life.
· This was the first expensive thing I had ever bought.
